Kids Say the Darndest Things Cybersecurity Edition

In our modern world, teaching kids about cybersecurity should be on any parent’s radar to ensure eSafety in this digital world.

Depending on how old your children are, the internet can be a dangerous place because as they get older they wander beyond the trusted apps you’ve set them up with. Therefore, it’s important to proactively talk to your children about the internet and its dangers. Furthermore, as children get older, their understanding of the internet, hackers, and cybersecurity will be greatly improved if parents are able to discuss these big concepts with their kids.

Yet, online safety for parents can be overwhelming. Where do you begin when trying to summarize the vast internet to a 5-year old? With many children using the internet at younger ages, schools are teaching about these topics more and more. This is a good thing!

That said, parents still need to play an active role in this cybersecurity education process to ensure the safety of their kids. Although, internet safety can be boring and dry, it’s very important. So with that in mind, here’s a fun set of questions we asked our team’s children regarding cybersecurity.
